THE AVOCA / ROSEDALE - MOORE-PARK

10 & 20 Avoca Ave.

How to ensure the buyer secures the property of their dreams before any other bid comes forward?

As soon as I walked into the south facing Suite 405 at 20 Avoca, I knew who the buyer would be. I phoned my mom from the building, asking if she would be open to hopping on a bus the next day from North Bay, where she lived at the time. I had found the place that I was pretty certain would be her perfect fit. She bought it the next day.

What I found out later, was that The Avoca is one of the most sought after addresses in town. It’s the first choice for many an architect. Each suite, whether a one, two or three bed, offers a generous floor plan, floor to ceiling windows, and oversized balconies the entire width of the suite. Its location is second to none at Yonge and St Clair, surrounded by the greenery of the neighbouring ravine and reservoir park, with the skyline at a quiet distance.

The project was developed by Izzy ‘Four Seasons Hotels’ Sharp in 1969/70, back in the day when buildings were made for people to live in and built to last.
